MONITORING AND EVALUATION

     The main activities of the cell are as follows:-

1.  Monitoring survey:

This survey is conducted in every crop season for evaluation of the latest agriculture technology knowledge and extension programme that is regulated in the department by extension workers. Currently, this survey has not been conducted due to the vacant position of agriculture investigators. After the appointment of agriculture investigators, the survey will be reconducted.

2.  Evaluation survey:

As a result of extension programme farmers are adopting various impact points included in the extension programme which resulted in an increase of crop productivity. Crop cutting
experiments are conducted on a regular basis in every crop season and along with assessing the percentage of the farmers adopted various impact points of agriculture technology for better production and farming.

3.  Special study:

Remedies for the problems found after the study of various regulating programmes are being suggested by special study done at times as per need. Special studies are being organized and
edited at intervals basis as per need.

During the year 2017-18 and 2018-19 following special studies have been carried out.

I.   Under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna, an evaluation survey was  conducted for the promotion of 40 crop specific FPO’s in Rajasthan.

II.   Evaluation of the effectiveness of broadcasting Kisan Vani Program by Community Radio Station[Deeg(Bharatpur) and Digod(Kota)].

III.  Evaluation of the utility and effectiveness of FFS (Farmers Field School) method-based Integrated pest management (IPM) technology training organised under the National Food
Security Mission(MM –I) in 2018-19.

IV.  Special study survey on the utility of officer/employee training conducted in National Food Security Mission (MM –I) in 2018-19.

4.  Other activities:

· Krishi Karman Award- This award is given by Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers welfare (DoACFW), GOI to the best performing states in the production of total foodgrains and individual crops of Rice, Wheat, Pulses, Coarse cereals and Oilseeds. Proposals of the department is prepared by the cell for this award and make a presentation before the screening committee of GOI.

                  Rajasthan state was awarded Krishi Karman Award 2016-17 for outstanding performance in pulses production by the Ministry of  Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. This award consists of a trophy, citation and cash amount of Rs. 2.00 crore. Also in the year 2017-18, Rs. 1.00 crore was given by the Government of India as a Commendation Award for pulses production.

· Aspirational district program is being conducted in 115 selected districts of the country under the direction of NITI Aayog,Government of India. This program is being conducted in five districts i.e. Dholpur, Karoli, Bara, Sirohi and Jaisalmer of the state. Under this program, farmers are being benefited by determined activities by the Government of India.
