Subsidy on crop Demonstrations

  • Crop Demonstrations is takan under State plan, National Mission on Oilseed and Oil palm and National Food Security Mission

Aim :-

  • Crop demonstration is important tool to transfer advance agronomical practices and Innovative technology to the farmers

  • Innovative Farmers which are capable to pay farmers share in case of expenditure exceeds to the subsidy limit, should be selected.
  • While selecting the farmers for conducting crop demonstration, irrigation facility is necessary
  • Only one member of a family will be selected.
  • For each district crop demonstration is allocated based on population percentage of SC and ST category. Priority is given to the BPL, small and marginal farmers. 30 percent allocation is made to women farmers.
  • Demonstration is conducted in compact area. If compact Cluster is not available in a village, the area may be selected from nearby village.
  • It’s necessary to treat seeds with fungicide, insecticide and Rhizobium/PSB/Azatobacter culture before sowing of crop demonstration.
  • Demonstrations will be conducted only after soil test of each Cluster, Major and micronutrients will be applied based on the soil test report.
  • It is necessary to have a control plot with the demonstration plot.
  • One demonstration will be allowed to one farmer with a ceiling of one ha. The assistance will be on pro-rata basis with the reduction in area as per availability of land with individual farmer under NMOOP, RKVY and State Plan. In case of NFSM, each farmer must have at least 0.4 ha. area.
  • The farmers which have not been benefited during last three year will be selected to conduct crop demonstrations.

Application process :-

  • For each cluster farmers will be selected by agriculture supervisor in consultation with Sarpanch of concerned village and other elected leaders. Agriculture supervisor will prepare list of eligible farmers in multiple of three against the target.
  • Cluster will be selected through lottery system.

Time line :-

  • At least 15 days before sowing.
